Custom Flash Design

Button and Text Options

For the Homepage Templates there are two button options for showing your text content. You can either replace the text using a text file (this includes all text you see in the templates along with the button names), and the text will then show up inside the Flash Design, or we can change the buttons to open a new HTML page where you can edit your text in FrontPage. Both options look good, but some people prefer the FrontPage option so they have more control over the text which allows them to do things like add links to the text, add pictures to the page, change the font, the colors, etc....

Delivery Time

For most changes to the Flash Templates our delivery time is 48 hours. If you are not ordering any custom changes we can usually get you the Flash Design Template within 4 hours during our regular business hours. (8am-6pm Monday-Friday Hawaiian Time which is 2 hours behind Pacific Standard Time)

For project over $500 we can take a 50% deposit, then once you are 100% satisfied with the work we collect the other 50% and then Email you the files.

HTML Text vs. Flash Text

Flash is an incredible tool, but it is not the best solution for every situation. We recommend keeping your text content in a HTML page. Everyone of our Flash Designs has the ability to bring up your text in a HTML page. You can use Flash Objects and Pictures in the HTML page to keep it from looking plain, but the text itself should be HTML text. HTML text offers the following advantages over Flash text:

• You can edit it easily by yourself using FrontPage, Dreamweaver, or your favorite HTML editor. When using FontPage you can then easily add links, bold text, add bullets, change the font, change the color, etc.... All of these things can not be done with Flash text unless you get a Flash Designer involved.
• HTML text is easy to read. You can choose a nice font and it is clear. Flash has a tendency to get blurry when using small fonts.
• If you have a lot of text it is easy to scroll and read it using the elevator bar on the right side of all browsers. Scrolling through Flash text is not as smooth and easy.

In summary our Flash Designs give you the best of both worlds. Great Flash Introductions, Professional Homepages and Web Site Layouts, and we still retain the advantages of letting you work with your own text in HTML format.
